Janelle S Famous Peach Cobbler Recipe
Ingredients One box ready made pie crust 6 cups fresh peaches 2 tbsp on flour 3/4 cups sugar (yes, that’s it!) 3/4 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp salt 1/8 tsp nutmeg 1 tbsp almond extract (this is the secret ingrdient) heavy whipping cream (optional) Preparation Heat oven to 425 degrees. Place pie crust in ungreased dish In large bowl, mix all other ingredients (if you use canned peaches, I only use the juice from one can) Pour in peaches, cover with layer of crust and cut slits in upper crust Use basting brush to spread thin layer of heavy whipping or extra juice from the peaches sprinkle a little sugar and cinnamon on the top of the brushed cream Bake for about 45 mins to an hour, remove when crust is golden
