Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbs baking powder
1 Tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup + rasins
1 Tbs caraway seed (optional)
1 1/2 cup buttermilk
4 Tbs butter, melted
Preparation
-Preheat over to 350F -Grease Pan -In medium Bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Stir in raisins and caraway seed. -With fork, blend in buttermilk and melted butter until evenly moist. -Turn into baking pan and cut an “X” on top. -Bake one hour and ten minutes approx. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. -Remove from pan, cool on wire rack.
