Ingredients
1 large minced onion
8 oz low sodium canned tomato sauce
1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
3 tablespoons worcestershire
2 tablespoons white vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
Preparation
Cook onion in saucepan, covered over low heat until soft, adding a little water if necessary to prevent scorching. Add all remaining ingredients, except liquid smoke and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and cook, covered for 30 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in liquid smoke and set aside to cool. Use or refrigerate.
