Ingredients
1-1 1/2 lb. extra lean ground beef
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 28-oz can crushed tomatoes
1 8-oz can tomato sauce
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt (sea-salt preferred)
8 oz. uncooked whole wheat linguine
1 16-oz container non- or low-fat sour cream
1 8-oz pkg. light cream cheese
1 bunch green onions
1 1/2 C. shredded mozzarella cheese
Preparation
Cook beef & garlic in a dutch oven coated with cooking spray, stirring till beef crumbles & is no longer pink. Drain beef mixture, pat dry with paper towels Stir in tomatoes & next 4 incgedients - simmer 30 min.; set meat sauce aside Cook past to directions, omitting salt & oil. Drain. Place pasta in a 13x9-in. baking dish coated with cooking spray Stir together sour cream, softened cream cheese & chopped green onions - spread over linguine Top with meat sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 min. Sprinkle with mozzerella cheese & bake 5 more min. till melted Let stand 5 min.
