Ingredients
1 cup bulgur
1 cup lentils
3 boullion cubes
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
3 large potatoes, cut in 1/2 inch cubes
1 14-ounce cans crushed tomatoes
3 cups water
Preparation
At home: Combine and seal bulgur, lentils, boullion cubes and spices in a plastic bag.
At the camp site: Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add onion, bell peppers and garlic. Sauté until onion is tender, about 8 minutes.
Add lentil-bulgur mixture and remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer until lentils are tender, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes.
