Ingredients

4 cups vodka

juice and zest of 12 lemons

1 cup water

1 1/4 cup sugar

Preparation

pour vodka into an air tight container. With a vegetable peeler peel the zest off of the lemons and add to the vodka. Squeeze the juice of the lemons into the vodka. Seal the container and store in the refrigerator for 2-4 weeks.

At the end of the weeks, strain the zest from vodka

combine the sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Allow the syrup to cool and add to the vodka.

Chill before serving. Lasts 3 months in an airtight container in the fridge.
