Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar 2 eggs
1tbsp lemon extract
1/2 cup milk
1 stick butter melted and cooled
1+ 1/2 cup flour
1tsp baking powder
1tsp baking soda
1/2tsp salt 3tbsp poppy seeds
Preparation
Combine sugar and eggs in a large bowl and beat until very light, and fluffy. Slowly beat in milk, butter, and lemon extract. Sift together flour, baking soda, powder, and salt. Add to sugar mixture, add poppy seeds. Pour into buttered, and floured 4 by 7 1/2 inch loaf pan. Bake until golden, and tester comes out clean, about 50-60 mins at 325 degrees
