Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil

4 tsp salt

1 lb. fresh lasagne noodles or 1 1/2 pound packaged

2 tbsp butter

1 1/4 cups white sauce (see recipe)

4 cups red sauce (see recipe)

2 cups grated Parmesan

1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Add oil and salt to large pot of boiling water. Cook noodles for 5 minutes (fresh) or 7 minutes (packaged). Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. Spread butter and 1/4 cup white sauce in bottom of a 16x12x3" pan. Put layer of lasagna noodles on top of sauce. Spread 1 cup red sauce on top of noodles. Spread 1/4 cup white sauce on top of red sauce. Sprinkle with parmesan and mozzarella. Cover with noodles and repeat until there are 4 layers ending with cheese on top. Bake 1 hour.
