Ingredients

8 oz lasagne (1/2 package)

1 Lb italian sausage (bulk)

1 small onion

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 6 oz can tomato paste

1 8 oz can tomato sauce

1 14.5 oz can whole tomatoes (cut up)

1 t sugar

1 t salt

1 t basil

1/4 t crushed red pepper

1 16 oz ricotta

1 egg beaten

1 T parsley

1/2 t salt

2 C shredded mozzarella

1/2 C grated parmesan

Preparation

Cook Lasagna. In large skillet, combine sausage, onion and garlic and cook until sausage is no longer pink. Drain. stir in next six ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. In medium bowl, blend ricotta, egg, parsley and salt. Spread a thin layer of sauce in 13x9" pan. Layer 1/3 each: lasagna, sauce, ricotta mixture, mozzarella and parmesan mixture. Repeat Layers. Cover and bake in 375 f oven 45 minutes to 1 hour.
