Ingredients
1 med onion
1 clove garlic
2 lbs ground beef
salt and pepper
1T parsley flakes
2 bay leaves
2 cans tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste
10 oz lasagna noodles
3 cups cottage cheese
2 eggs
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
16 oz mozzarella cheese
Preparation
Lightly brown onion and garlic in oil. Add beef and brown. Add 1 tsp salt, dash pepper and next *4 ingredients. Bring to boil and simmer uncovered for 30-40 mins.
Add 1 T salt and al little oil to 4 quarts rapidly boiling water. Gradually add lasagna so that the water continues to boil. Cook uncovered stirring occasionally 10-15 mins. Drain.
Mix together cottage cheese, eggs, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper and 1/2 cup parmesan.
Arrange half the lasagna in a greases 13x9x2 baking dish. Spread with half the meat sauce. Top with half the mozzarella and half cottage cheese mixture. Repeat layers and sprinkle with remaining parmesan.
Bake at 375 for 45 mins. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
