Ingredients

8 oz yogurt

1/3 C peeled

seeded and chopped cucumber

2 TBSP grated peeled onion

1 Clove garlic crushed

1 tsp granulated sugar

1 lb ground lamb

2 cloves garlic crushed

1 1/2 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp salt

3/4 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

3/4 tsp ground black pepper 4 pita pockets

1 medium onion sliced thin

1 medium tomato sliced thin

Preparation

Mix yogurt, cucumber, grated onion, first garlic clove and sugar in mixing bowl and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 mins. In a large bowl, mix lamb, remaining garlic and seasonings and shape into 2 large patties and broil until cooked through. Carve each into slices and serve in pita with onions, tomatoes and yogurt sauce.
