Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef

½ tsp pepper

1 small onion

¼ tsp garlic salt

1 egg

½ tsp oregano

1-2 slices white bread, soaked in milk

butter

1 tsp salt

plain bread crumbs

Preparation

Put the meat in a bowl. Grate the onion into it. Squeeze the milk from the bread and add the soggy bread to the meat and onion. add egg. Add spices and mix well. Roll thin, oval patties in bread crumbs and sauteé them in butter. As you finish one frying pan full, place the cooked patties on a dish in a 250 degree oven to stay warm while you cook the rest of the meat. Try not to stack the cooked patties on top of each other.
