Ingredients

1 Column Saltine crackers

2 sticks of real butter

1 cup brown sugar

12 oz. chocolate chips

Preparation

preheat oven to 400 degrees. Layer Saltines on heavy duty foil-lined cookie sheet with sides (15"x10"x1). Boil butter and sugar together for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour mixture over the crackers and spread. Bake at 400 degrees for about 6 minutes until bubbly and golden brown (be careful, it burns easily). Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top. As they begin to melt, spread over the top with a spatula. Place entire cookie sheet in refrigerator to cool for a few hours or over night. Peel off the foil and break into pieces, store in a cool place or freeze.
