Ingredients

16 oz split pea

4 c chicken broth

4 c water

1 large ham hock

2 carrots, chopped

4 stalks celery

1 large onion

1 medium potatoe

1/2 t salt

1/4 t marjoram

1/4 t thyme

1 bay leaf

Preparation

Rinse peas. Add peas, broth, water, ham, and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Simmer 1 hr. Remove meat and mince. Add meat and vegetables. Boil. Simmer 45 minutes.
