Ingredients
3 lbs. sweet potatoes
3/4 c. light brown sugar, packed, divided
3 T. butter
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. nutmeg
1/4 t. salt
1 can evaporated milk
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Cook sweet potatoes in boiling salted water until done; drain, peel, and cut into large chunks (about 1" square). Put into the casserole.
Mix all of the remaining ingredients.
Pour the liquid ingredients over the sweet potatoes.
Bake for 30 minutes.
