Ingredients
4 eggs separated
6 large potatoes peeled grated and drained
1 large onion grated
salt and pepper to taste
pinch of baking powder
1 cup vegetable oil
Preparation
Beat egg whites until stiff and dry In a large mixing bowl mix potatoes onnion egg yolks slat pepper and baking powder, Add egg whites fold in mix well Heat oil in a large frying pan and drop latkes from a large cooking spoon into the hot fat. Fry golden brown on both sides drain on paper towels. Can be served with meats or with sugar apple sauce sour cream.
