Ingredients

3 cups All purpose flour

2 cups granulated sugar

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking powder

1 cup buttermilk or sour milk

1 cup butter - room temp

2 tsp vanilla

4 large eggs

SAUCE

3/4 cups sugar

1/3 cup butter

3 tbls water

2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325.

Grease and flour 12 cup bunt pan or 10" tube pan.

In a large bowl, combine all cake ingredients.

Beat on low speed until moistened. Then beat 3 minutes at MED speed.

Pour batter into prepare pan.

Bake for ???????

SAUCE - In a small saucepan over low heat, combine all sauce ingredients and cook until butter is melted. Stir occasionally. DO NOT BOIL.

FINISHING - Bierce the cake all over with a fork and then pour the Sauce over the warm cake.

Let stand for 5 minutes or until sauce is absorbed.
