Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon sugar
1 stick butter
1 cup buttermilk
Preparation
Combine first 5 ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbles. Add buttermilk and stir until mixed well. Knead dough on floured surface 3 to 4 times and then roll out to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes and bake on 475 for 12 to 15 minutes. Can freeze before cooking and then cook frozen on 350 until golden.
