Ingredients

1 cup butter,softened

2 cups sugar,white

4 eggs

1 cup milk

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. almond extract

2-3/4 cups flour

3 tsp. baking powder

3/4 tsp, salt

Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar very well.Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.Combine the flour,baking powder and salt.Combine the milk and extracts.Add the dry and wet ingredients alternately to the creamed mixture;beating well after each addition. Pour into a greased and floured 10-in. tube pan and bake at 350 F. for 50-55 minutes or until cake is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in the pan before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

I use a vanilla butter cream icing to frost this cake and I use both the vanilla and almond extracts in the icing adds great flavor.
