Ingredients
2 lbs. ground chuck - Cut up to bite size pieces
2 cans (15 ounces each) red kidney beans, drained
2 cans (14.5 ounces each) Crushed tomatoes
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
3 ribs celery, coarsely chopped
1 small can (3 to 4 ounces) mushroom pieces, drained
1 green pepper, nice size, coarsely chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 med. size can baked pork and beans with molasses
2 pieces cooked bacon, coarsely chopped
2 to 3 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin
salt to taste
Hot peppers as desired…
Preparation
In a large skillet, brown the ground Chuck, drain well & toss the garlic in for the last minute. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker; cover and cook for 7 to 8 hours on LOW, or until done. Serves 4 to 6 well.
We add cheese, onion, peppers and sour cream…depending on who’s bowl it is.
