Ingredients

2 packages yeast

4 tablespoons sugar

3/4 cup vegetable oil

2 cups buttermilk

1 teaspoon baking soda

5 cups self-rising flour

More flour for final prep.

Preparation

Mix 1 cup warm water with yeast and sugar. Add: oil, buttermilk, and baking soda. Add in and mix well the self-rising flour. Cut with a spoon and drop into bowl of flour to coat outside. Shape with hands and place on cookie sheet with minimal space between biscuits. Place in preheated 450 degree oven until done. Keep remaining mix in refridgerator in a covered dish.
