Ingredients

5 links Sweet Italian Sausage

1 T Butter

1 Medium Sweet Onion diced

8 White Mushrooms

1 Can Large Black Olives

2 Cans Tomato Sauce

6 Cloves Garlic Minced

2 T Sugar

1 t Salt

1 t Fresh Ground Pepper

3 T Fresh Basil minced

1 T Italian Seasoning

12 oz package of thin Spaghetti

Grated Parmesan Cheese

Preparation

TOMATO SAUCE

  • Remove casing on each link and cut each link into 5 sections forming meatballs. Over medium heat, brown meatballs in large sauce pan then drain and set aside.
  • Over medium heat, Add butter, garlic, onions and mushrooms to large sauce pan and cook until onions become soft and start browning.
  • Add meatballs, tomato sauce, black olives, sugar, basil and italian seasoning to large saucepan.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water to thin if desired.
  • Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for at least 1 hour. Add salt and pepper to taste.

SPAGHETTI

  • Cook spaghetti per directions then thouroughly drain.

SERVE

  • Serve Sauce and Spaghetti in separate bowls with grated parmesan cheese on the side.
