Ingredients
2 C all purpose flour
1/2 C granulated sugar
1/2 C light brown suger
1 C butter, softened
1 egg, seperated
1 t gound cinnamon
1/2 t vanilla
1/2 t salt
1 C slivered almonds
1/2 C unsweetened coconut
Preparation
Heat oven to 350’. In a large bowl, combine first 8 ingredients. Beat on low speed until well mixed, about 2-3 minutes. divide dough in half.Press each half onto greased cookie sheet, to 1/16 inch thickness. In a small bowl, beat egg white with fork unli foamy. Brush over dough; sprikle with nuts and cocnut.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, until lightly browned. Immediately cut into 2 inch squares and remove from pan. Cool completely before serving.
