Ingredients

2 cup flour

1/2 tea salt

1 cup cold butter

1 cup small curd cottage cheese

filling-

1 tea jelly or jam

topping

3/4 cup finely chopped nuts

1/2 cup sugar

melted butter or egg white

Preparation

1 Combine flour and salt and cut in butter until crumbly. Add cottage cheese and shape into 1inch balls refrigerate overnight 2 make topping and set aside

3 roll out balls into 2 1/2 in circles. spoon in jam and fold dough over killing, pinch edges to seal. place on greased cookie sheets. Brush top with melted butter or egg white and sprinkle with topping. 4 Bake at 350c for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from sheet and place on wire rack to cool
