Ingredients

1 lb lean ground round

1/2 lb ground italian sausage

1/3 c plain dry bread crumbs (Panko)

2 eggs, lightly beaten

2 large cloves garlic, minced

1/2 c grated romano cheese

1-3/4 c crushed tomato w/puree

dash salt & pepper

Preparation

Remove beef and sausage from fridge 30-60 minutes ahead. Place bread crumbs in large bowl and stir in 1/3 c water. When absorbed, blend in eggs, garlic, 1/4 c romano cheese, salt & pepper. Preheat oven to 425. Add meats and combine well. From into 12 even balls, about 2-1/2" diam. Place in glass baking dish, evenly spaced. Pour tomatoes over and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cook 18-22 minutes.
