Ingredients

2 cans of beef consomm’ 2c boiling water 1 15oz. can of diced beets with juice 1 15oz. can diced carrots

drained 1 lg.onion

finely chopped 1 tbs tomato paste 2 tbs butter 11/2c shredded cabbage 1/2tbs brown sugar 1 tsp.lemon juice 1 tbs vodka 1/2c thick sour cream 1/2 tsp dill weed.

Preparation

Cook beets,carrots and onion in 2 cups boiling salted water. Add tomato paste,butter,consomme’and cabbage. cook 15 minutes.Add lemon juice,brown sugar,and vodka. serve in soup bowls,topped with sour cream. Sprinkle soup and sour cream with dill weed. Enjoy with good friends.
