Ingredients
1 cup of (6 ounces) chocolate chips.
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
optional 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips.
3/4 cup of macadamia nuts, chopped.
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 f. Lightly grease cookie sheets of line with parchment paper. Melt butter or margarine in sauce pan with sugar on low heat.
Pour butter and sugar mixture into large bowl, add egg and vanilla; beat until light. Blend in flour, baking soda, and chocolate chips and macadamia nuts.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonsfuls 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or untill firm. Do not overbake.
Remove to cool and serve with tea or a glass of milk.
