Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons (packed) golden brown sugar
2 tablespoons caraway seeds
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/3 cups buttermilk
Preparation
Preheat over to 400 degrees. Dust baking sheet with flour. Whisk first 7 ingredients in large bowl. Mix in buttermilk (I use a mixer or food processor - also had to use more buttermilk than recipe called for…). Gather dough together. Turn out onto floured surface; knead to combine, about 1 minute. Gather dough into ball; flatten into 7-inch round. Place on prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden brown and baked through - about 45 minutes. Transfer to rack; cool. Serve with butter. Don’t make this a day ahead…I love it.
