Ingredients
16 ounces spaghetti or thin linguini
2 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1-2 pound round steak, thinly sliced against the grain
1/4 pound raw shrimp, shelled and cut in half lengthwise
1 tablespoon oil
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 green onions, sliced into 1/2 inch pieces
2 cups thinly sliced (1/4 inch) bok choy
1 cup thinly sliced leeks
Preparation
Cook noodles in boiling water until al dente. Drain, stir in 1-2 tablespoons olive oil.
While noodles are cooking, heat large frying pan over high heat. When pan is hot, add oil, then garlic and red pepper flakes. Stir once, then add beef and stir fry 1-2 minutes. Add shrimp (if raw), stir fry until pink. If shrimp already cooked, add and stir briefly.
Add noodles to pan w/ meat, add 1 tablespoon oil and the 4 tablespoons of soy sauce. Stir fry 1-2 minutes until thoroughly mixed and hot.
Stir fry veggies separately until just tender-crisp (about 1 1/2 minutes) and add to meat/noodle mixture.
